LAB COMPARISON
Side-by-side hardware benchmarking session

Controller Comparison Methodology
The Gamepad Comparison Lab allows competitive players and hardware enthusiasts to conduct side-by-side hardware benchmarking. By connecting two controllers simultaneously, you can visually compare raw input data, dead zones, and mechanical stick drift in real-time. This is essential when deciding between premium controllers like the DualSense Edge versus the Xbox Elite Series 2.
Why compare controllers?
- Input Jitter Analysis: Directly compare the resting jitter (σ) of two different analog stick modules.
- Snapback Testing: Flick both sticks simultaneously to see which controller's spring mechanism successfully dampens the recoil vs causing opposite-direction inputs.
- Polling Rate Differences: Monitor the raw Hz to see which controller processes physical inputs faster under the same system load.
How to use
Connect two supported controllers (PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, or Nintendo Switch Pro) via USB or Bluetooth. The tool will automatically allocate them to Bench A and Bench B. Once active, the ghost mode will preserve the session even if a brief disconnect occurs, letting you test cable stability versus wireless Bluetooth latency seamlessly.
